JON MOODY

Jonathan Moody is an award-winning, multi-medium artist/athlete from New Orleans.  A graduate of the prestigious New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA), he is skilled in painting, illustration, graphic design, visual effects and photography.  Currently pursuing an MA in Painting, he also holds a BFA in Visual Effects from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).

Moody's artwork takes a critical view of social, political, cultural, and personal issues, which he uses to deconstruct the image of the human figure.  The reason he deconstructs the human figure is because we are all beings and by using the human model all viewers are able to create some form of relation to his work.  By engaging an ambiguous figure into diverse surrealistic scenes Moody is able to create innovative conceptually layered pieces.
